In-mould coating involves a paint being applied to a mould as a coloured stripe or a logo. Polyurethane (PU), which is then injected into the so-called foaming mould at high pressure, forms a highly stable, scratch-resistant bond with the paint.

For in-mould labelling, a carrier film with any desired logo is placed into a KEG mould. After the so-called foaming process, the foil is removed from the KEG and the motif has bonded with the foam.

For in-mould labelling on the polypropylene top ring, the motif is placed into an injection mould. During the injection moulding process, the carrier foil and the polypropylene bond together firmly.

In screen printing, the ink is applied to the stainless steel KEG using a template. This way, individual logos can be applied as well as coloured stripes.

Embossing involves a motif in the form of an offset being stamped into the stainless steel KEG surface. The imprint on the KEG can be up to 0.5 mm deep. On the internal surface of the KEG, the motif sunken and on the external surface it is raised, creating a kind of relief structure.

An embossment is a raised pattern applied to the KEG in the neck area. Using a sunken mould, a logo or a text is incorporated into the KEG surface while the KEG body is being coated. Embossments are possible up to a height of 0.3 mm.

The foamed polyurethane (PU), which either partly or fully covers the stainless steel liner, is available in any colour you choose.

The polypropylene (PP) top and bottom rings, available in all colours, are heated up to make them flexible enough to click into preformed grooves at the top or bottom of the KEG body (safety clip-on technique). This means they can be replaced at any time.
